NRHC Student Web Site Content

Welcome to the student portion of the Northeast Regional Honors Council (NRHC) Web site. Your 2009-2010 student representatives are Jamie Inferrera and Belinda McQuaide. Jamie is a senior print journalism major at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa. Belinda is a sophomore diagnostic medical sonography major at the Community College of Allegheny County in western Pennsylvania.

Please refer to this web page throughout the year for student updates regarding the NRHC and the regional conference, which will be held at Harrisburg Hilton on April 8-11, 2010. Both Jamie and Belinda have attended NRHC and NCHC conferences. Not knowing what to expect of a conference can be overwhelming. This Web page is dedicated helping students prepare for the NRHC conference.

The NRHC student representatives are here to answer all of your questions and concerns. Please feel free to contact the student representatives via e-mail or Facebook: Jamie Inferrera (jinferrera@pointpark.edu) and Belinda McQuaide (mcquaide@windstream.net).

Student Events at the Conference
The student representatives are very excited to announce the new and exciting student events at the Harrisburg conference!

Join fellow student conference attendees for a photo scavenger hunt on Friday evening. Don’t forget to bring your digital camera (and the USB cord for uploading photos). Students will be split into groups to explore downtown Harrisburg and take photos. There are five different photo categories, which will be announced at the start of the event. Snacks will also be provided. PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR THE BEST PHOTOS. Photos will be displayed at the Saturday luncheon, and the winners will be announced.

Get ready for some fun in the sun on Saturday night with the Honors Hula Hoopla Hawaiian themed dance. Come dance the night away as the DJ plays today’s top hits. Leis and non-alcoholic frozen daiquiris will be plentiful. What a great way to end the conference!
